Clicker Training Chicken Camp March 2023
We had 8 attend our clicker training weekend, run by Sascha Yeomans. The outcome of the weekend was to learn more about learning behaviours, and find how this can be applied to training using a "clicker". By using chickens as our training animal we needed good observation and precise timing to capture the behaviour. This made for some very funny moments as we practiced on each other, and then the animals. Saturday afternoon we were able to practice with our dogs, training them to push a fit ball along with no prompting - only using the click and reward method. We thank Sascha for the generosity of her time and knowledge for the weekend. We all learnt so much and are better trainers because of it!
