Training & Activities

Training starts at 10am from Sunday 7th May

Our club promotes positive based training methods which helps build a strong bond between you and your dog.  These methods provide a good foundation that graduate members can use to progress on to further training and activities.

Mans Best Friend
New members are always welcome, the club holds new member beginner classes regularly. These classes run for 5 weeks and give both dog and handler an excellent introduction to training.  It is strongly advised that you do not miss a class as there is limited opportunities to make up for this lost class.  At the end of the classes, all dogs undertake an assessment of their learning and on successful completion receive a 'mans best friend' certificate.
On completion of the course you are invited to stay on and develop these foundations with further training and activities.  Please read the information for new members.

Our club offers training in a group environment with a mix of ages and size dogs.  If your dog has more specialised training needs a one on one session may be more suited to your situation.  See our list of external training options available in the area.

In addition to weekly training see our Events page for extra activities on offer.
